My main job is to help maintain, develop and test Faktum Invoicing, the company’s Windows desktop invoicing software application, which mostly involves the set-up of the invoicing reports and the creation of various report designs. As of lately I have started to create ASP.Net MVC 3 controls for a new project the company is building for one of our clients and last but not least our company Faktum Software also builds websites and web systems.

Researched for an open source intranet system for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to connect all 35 Maltese Embassies around the world. The intranet had to be customised according to the exigencies and requests of the Ministry’s Information Management Unit. With the collaboration of my colleagues and superiors the system was crafted and designed to facilitate monotonous work routines and simplify classification of data populated and used every day. The system also provided a way of fast communication and dissemination of data throughout the Embassies, the Consulates and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malta.

Introduced the utilisation of a JavaScript and CSS framework that visibly facilitated cross-browser design implementation and reduced development time whilst enhancing user friendliness and interactivity. Converted Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Fireworks visuals into websites using XHTML and CSS coding including the implementation of the websites` functionality throughout. Troubleshoot, test and solve functionality and cross-browser design issues. Improved experience in coding SQL and also how to use SQL Server. I was also in charge of adding extra features to the company`s module DotNetMushroom RAD using ASP.Net in order to expand the product`s functionalities and usability, which in addition required documentation. Apart from that I have also developed a new module for the company, the DotNetMushroom Social DotNetNuke module.
Software Developer / Vodafone MaltaJUL 2008 – SEP 2008
I used to work in the Radio department of Vodafone Malta. Created new ASP .Net web applications which connected to an oracle database, that simplified the work of the Radio team by displaying visual graphs and charts of statistics as well as information of telecommunications equipment, utilised during team meetings. The web applications also provided simple forms where data could be inputted after daily or weekly tests were carried out by the radio team and consequently analyse and produce reports.
Helpdesk and Support Technician / APS Bank LtdJUL 2007 – SEP 2007
I worked in the IT Department of APS Bank Ltd. My major objective was to help the IT Department by means of formatting computers and installing Windows Vista 64-bit that was recently released plus other essential software mandatory by the Bank, in preparation for the key roll-out that was going to replace any old computers within the Bank’s branches. I had an imperative role in the roll-out which I planned with my colleagues; I used to deliver and replace all the computers` hardware at every branch, where I also had to make sure that every computer system was connected successfully to the Bank’s network and test that everything was fully functional. As part of my job I also used to troubleshoot problems encountered by the Bank’s employees and several other problems related to faulty or defective computer hardware.
